De senaste fem åren kan jag räkna antal incheckade bagage på en hand. Det beror såklart inte enbart på att jag är en jäkel på att packa, utan delvis att de flesta tripperna varit weekendresor. Jag är inte säker på hur det hela startade, men ska jag iväg på en kort resa är handbagage numera en strikt policy.
Det finns något väldigt tillfredställande med att komma av planet med alla ens tillhörigheter i handen, gå rakt förbi bagagebanden och veta att jag kommer att vara på min slutdestination snabbare än mitt forna incheckade bagage-jag ens lämnat flygplatsen. Så hur går det till rent praktiskt? För vetenskapen att packa lätt är något som tagit mig år av träning och misstag att komma underfund med.

Packa inte med dig sådant du aldrig använder hemma! Innan jag klickade hem något kunde jag förr motivera mig till köpet genom att säga ”den här kommer passa perfekt i Kroatien i sommar” – och i enstaka fall har det blivit en fullträff, men alldeles för ofta ett snedsteg. Klänningen är förmodligen inte alls roligare att använda i Kroatien än hemma.
Det här är ett dilemma som även uppkommer när jag regelbundet rensar garderoben. Då står jag med en färgglad, mönstrad klänning köpt på Zara för fem år sedan och tänker ”jag sparar den till sommaren, då kommer den vara perfekt”. Om du inte använt något senaste året kan jag nästan garantera att du inte kommer använda den på nästa semester heller.

Halvera antalet skor! Förr när jag packade tog mitt intresse oftast över och jag stod maktlös inför antalet svindlande klackar och sandaler som fyllde resväskan. Jag behövde bestämt ett par Converse att matcha till den gulliga middagsklänningen, ett par träningsskor för alla gånger jag skulle morgonjogga (hände aldrig), ett par chica sandaler till lunch på stranden (som ändå skulle gå att ha i sand, vatten och på en stökig after beach) och såklart – nya svindlande pumps till var och varannan kväll som matchade outfiten.

Underskatta inte möjligheten av mångsidighet. Jag är en förespråkare för plagg som är kameleonter, som går att använda på fler sätt än ett. Det är oftast så jag motiverar mina köp numera.
Jag har samlat sex plagg som är ett måste i handbagaget på solsemestern som går att variera i all oändlighet. Ett annat ess i rockärmen är att inte underskatta accessoarer, detaljer kan förändra en hel look – och tar dessutom knappt någon plats.

Den här säsongen kommer jag köra all in bermuda-style.

Jag är egentligen ingen skjorttjej, men på semestern är skjortor lika självklart som kavajer på hösten. Jag bär dem både till lunch, middag och på stranden likt en sarong runt höften.

Yes! En sådan behöver man alltid på semestern. Jag älskar att ta morgon- och kvällsdopp i baddräkten men under dagen solar jag helst i bikini. Istället matchar jag baddräkten med mina icke-denim-shorts och bär den som en topp till lunchen.
Vida byxor
Om man vill ha något mer klätt för en kväll brukar jag se till att ha ett par byxor med mig som kan fungera att både resa och gå ut i. Jag är en stark motståndare till jeans på semestern, så ett par schysta byxor att dra på sig i nödlägen är en viktigt del i min packning.

Bästa kameleonten i semestergarderoben? Kaftaner i tunn siden. De är perfekta att slänga på sig till stranden och eleganta att klä upp för middagen. De tar dessutom upp minimal plats i väskan – så unna dig två i packningen!

Jag har äntligen lärt mig att trots att jag packar klackar kommer de förmodligen inte ens till användning. Jag är dessutom oftast för lat på semestern för att klä upp mig (tänker mer på familjesemestrar än tjejhelger på Rivieran). Jag har två par sandaler som alltid har en reserverad plats i resväskan – ett par ballerina från Céline och ett par öppna sandaler från ATP Atelier (och sedan förra säsongen såklart ett par Havaianas).
