Jag har alltid älskat att måla men i samband med en sjukskrivning för tre år sedan började jag att måla mycket och ofta. Jag såg målandet och skapandet som en meditation och återhämtning.
VAD VAR DET FÖRSTA STEGET TILL ATT GÖRA DET HÄR TILL EN BUSINESS?
Jag började publicera mina illustrationer och målningar via Instagram och märkte att det fanns en efterfrågan. Jag skapade en hemsida för att sälja för skojs skull. Det var egentligen första när hemsidan varit uppe någon vecka som jag förstod att det fanns en möjlighet för mig att utveckla detta till något mer än en hobby.
STÖRSTA UTMANINGEN HITTILLS?
De största utmaningarna jag haft är de som kommer med att driva eget företag men som man kanske inte alltid tänker på. Allt kring ekonomi, bokföring etc – det är inte min starka sida. Sen har jag satt ihop hemsidan själv, och brottades med den hela förra sommaren. Det var verkligen en utmaning! Det tog flera månader och jag hade aldrig kunnat ana hur många steg och tekniska delar som ska funka och synka för att det ska bli en fungerande hemsida. Tur att jag hade flera grymma personer som kunde backa upp mig när jag satt som ett frågetecken.

Jag var Tokyo i början på december förra året tillsammans med min vän Hanna. Vi pratade mycket om framtid under den resan och det var där någonstans jag bestämde mig för att jag skulle våga testa. En vecka senare ansökte jag om tjänstledigt och i mitten på mars började jag jobba som egen.

Responsen som blivit nu efter att vi lanserade Rixo-samarbetet är verkligen WOW! Tanken var att vi endast skulle sälja printen via min hemsida och i Rixos butik i London, men sen ökade efterfrågan från kunder runt om hela världen som ville handla så vi bestämde att de även skulle säljas via deras hemsida och levereras worldwide. Jag jobbar även på ett projekt just nu som jag verkligen känner wow inför, resultat kommer ut senare i år.
